Do You Have Weight Loss Plans? Drink the Dieter’s Green Tea to Lose Weight

Monday Mar 15, 2010

There is a buzz about drinking green tea to lose weight. Consider this a dieter’s tea for healthy weight loss. Drinking green leaf tea should be part of your weight loss plans. The reasons are numerous.

The health benefits of drinking quality loose leaf green have been known for centuries. Science has proven time and time again the benefits of green tea. It is now making startling headlines again. Science now confirms drinking green loose leaf tea as part of a daily routine not only helps you loose weight, but keep it off!

This tea contains polyphenols. Scientists identify these as catechins and they have the ability to promote the increased release of the hormone, norepinephrine. This is the primary fat burning hormone in our body. Green loose leaf tea has an abundance of catechins and makes this one of the green tea fat burner properties.

Green loose leaf tea also contains caffeine. This enhances or increases the action of the catechins to make the tea a more powerful fat burning dieter’s drink.

The health and weight loss benefit of drinking green leaf tea does not stop there. Yes, there is more good news to benefit your body for a healthy weight loss. Research studies have shown that drinking green loose leaf tea helps to regulate blood sugar by interfering with an enzyme that breaks down the carbohydrates we ingest.

Carbohydrates turn into sugar when digested. By slowing the digestion of carbohydrates your body will not experience a sudden increase in blood sugar levels followed by a dip or low. These low blood sugars promote hunger and food cravings to get that sugar level up again. We then feel hungry and want to eat. Drinking green loose tea with a meal will help stop that cycle and promote weight loss.

Green leaf tea also has powerful antioxidant properties. More than Vitamin C, beta carotene, and some other teas! In fact, the concentration of antioxidants is 200 percent more potent than vitamin E! These antioxidant properties are very important to help our bodies heal and recover from the stressors of everyday life. They heal our bodies by fighting the free radicals we release. Weight loss is an extra added stressor and the concentrated antioxidants found in leaf tea promote health and well being.

Green loose tea also contains natural stress reducer known as theanine. This will not only help you relax and reduce stress, it will give you a sense of well-being. This is always a plus for an individual on a weight loss plan.

Research studies have found that drinking green loose tea along with an exercise program will increase and enhance your body’s fat burning ability. The study found that mice that were given green tea to drink lost an amazing 47% more body fat than the mice on just a regulated diet. The news only gets better. The mice that exercised and drank green tea lost an amazing 89% more weight than the mice on a regulated diet.

The results show that by including diet, exercise, healthy eating and loose leaf green tea into your everyday routine you can dramatically increase your weight loss.

The news gets even better. Studies show that it is not how much you drink of the green tea that is important. Moderation and consistency is the key. Drinking three to six cups of loose leaf green tea a day, as part of a daily routine will help keep the weight off. The study found that individuals that drank green tea for a period of ten years or more had 5% less body fat then non tea drinkers. This is great news for anyone wanting to maintain their weight after a weight loss program.

Your weight loss plans should include drinking green tea to lose weight and keep it off. As a dieter’s tea for healthy weight loss and maintenance take advantage of loose leaf tea.

Weight Loss and Green Tea

Saturday Mar 13, 2010

I have lately read much on the subject of Green Tea and its aid to losing weight. Most researchers give credence to the fact that drinking Green Tea increases the metabolic rate and there fore can be a help in a weight loss programme. However, most experts disagree over the amount of help that Green Tea gives. The experts findings range from “insignificant” to “major breakthrough” status.

Celebrity personalities are known to drink Green Tea to help weight loss (Victoria Beckham supposedly being one of the most prominent) and now giant pharmaceutical companies such as Boots plc in the UK are putting Green Tea extract in to their latest dietary products. All these things are giving us the signal that consumption of Green Tea will help us easily shed those extra pounds!

But what if the goodness in Green Tea is not the biggest benefit the brew gives to weight watchers, but the most help actually comes from the actual act of drinking the tea?

Over the last few years I have personally suffered with my weight, mainly because I had a lousy diet and a fairly sedentary lifestyle. I have now taken to drinking Green Tea when under normal circumstances I would have eaten something which would probably have been bad for me. (French fries or a chocolate bar)

The result of this is that drinking the Green Tea genuinely gives a feeling of filling the stomach and the “hunger pains” go away at least for a little while.

The outcome of drinking Green Tea (at least half a dozen large cups a day) has been a reasonable weight loss, which if I only got into a regular exercise regime could, I feel, become a significant loss.

The bottom line in this is that on its own Green Tea has great benefits and includes ingredients which go some of the way towards helping the weight loss many of us crave, but it is not a cure-all on its own. It certainly, however, helps in more than one way, and I think we need all the help we can get.

Green Tea, Weight Loss and You

Thursday Mar 11, 2010

An ever increasing number of people are choosing to add green tea to their weight loss program. This affordable product packs a punch you’ll appreciate. Green tea is a great beverage to drink if you are on a weight loss program because it can help you live a healthier life. Some common beverage choices for people are:

coffee and cream which are high in calories – Some of the specialty coffees are very high in calories; caffeine or both and these little vises or pleasures can quickly add up and destroy your weight loss efforts. soda – either diet or regular – Regular sodas add about 120 empty calories to your intake for every 12 ounce can you consume. Diet sodas are sweet and make your body think it is being given sugar which it gears up to digest but nothing is encountered but a chemical compound it does not know how to handle. The debate still rages on about the long term effects of diet soda but many believe this artificial concoction does not help with weight loss and may actually promote weight gain because your body was geared up for sugar it cannot find. sports drinks – These beverages DO add electrolytes and vital fluid replacement but they are also very high in sugar and other alternatives might serve the average person better.

Green tea is a beverage substitute that helps you avoid unwanted calories and it also contains healthful substances like polyphenols and flavonoids. Green tea also contains a small amount of caffeine which may help you lose weight because it serves as a mild appetite suppressant.

If you regularly drink green tea or take green tea supplements, you will be helping your body’s thermogenesis process (increase your metabolic rate). This is the process by which the body burns fat and releases calories. The thermogenesis process is activated by the interaction of the caffeine and catechin polyphenols present in this tea. The standard advice of burning more calories than you consume still applies but this tea has been extensively studied and used and has proven that it can help increase your metabolic rate without increasing you heart rate as other plant based products can.

No beverage or supplement is going to be a magic pill when it comes to weight loss. There is several thousand years of use and many scientific studies that show your overall health and your weight loss program may benefit from green tea.

Green Tea For Weight Loss – Know the Benefits of Drinking Natural Green Teas For Losing Weight!

Saturday Feb 27, 2010

If you are among those people raring to see for yourself the healing benefits as well as huge potential of green tea for weight loss, you are in good company. From ancient China to Europe, Japan, and many other countries around the world, this tasty beverage has been noted for its amazing ability to protect people from dreaded diseases like cancer and cardiovascular disease through powerful antioxidants. Besides regulating abnormal cell growth, and making ill people feel a whole lot better through its anti-inflammatory and free radical-fighting properties, the aforementioned tea also contributes to safe weight loss.

If you’ve made some progress in a weight-loss program, only to revert to your old habits and gain back all the pounds you’ve lost, clearly there’s something amiss. It’s high time you start shopping around for a supplementary weight & maintenance aid, like the much bruited Green Tea Purity. This tea blend extract in standard capsules not only helps bolster the immune system and eliminate toxins from the body but also provides antibacterial properties and helps overweight/obese people achieve their losing weight goals. The super substance responsible for curbing obesity is the catechins that inhibit the glucose movement within the fat cells.

Notwithstanding its wonderful effects on the body, the tea alone is not a magic bullet that can instantly resolve weight issues, especially excess pounds that have accumulated through years of unhealthy eating (like regular intake of fast-food fare) and bad lifestyle habits. You may find that drinking green tea for weight loss truly works, but relying on it alone is not bound to keep off those excess pounds without taking into consideration other healthy habits.

Green Tea For Weight Loss

Tuesday Feb 23, 2010

Green tea for weight loss… The health benefits of green tea are advocated everywhere today.
While there are various supplements and nutrients that have little proven scientific benefits, green tea is different and is widely known that study after study seems to indicate that green tea has some excellent effects to ones health.

The problem on the health market today is that some marketers of health products are now pushing green tea and weight loss, which means they are pushing and selling their green tea supplements as some kind of “miracle” for getting rid of unwanted pounds. Let’s tell it how it is before we go any further: yes, green tea is showing promise in helping one lose weight, but is it a miracle worker? No. It may have a slight effect on speeding up your metabolism… however, this is largely due to the caffeine green tea contains.

Keep in mind however, caffeine is not really that beneficial, and can be detrimental to ones health. This is why many manufactures of supplements are now selling green tea in capsules without the caffeine, or decaffeinated versions of green tea.

To be honest, green tea for weight loss is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the actual benefits of this nutrient.

Studies have shown green tea as an antioxidant to be 100 times more powerful than Vitamin C, and over twenty times more powerful than Vitamin E. Green tea may even be one of the best nutrients in the fight against various types of cancer according to some recent studies.

Our conclusion – Green tea for weight loss may be for you, but don’t think you will get remarkable over night results. An important point to consider however is that there are so called weight loss supplements on the health market that aren’t good for your health at all. From a health standpoint, green tea is very beneficial to your health for whatever reason you consume it.

The Benefits of Green Tea Are Based on Facts

Wednesday Feb 17, 2010

There is always something on the horizon that promises to be the “next big thing” in weight loss and health. New fad diets and exercise programs turn up constantly. Unfortunately, these rarely are as helpful as they try to make you believe, and the last thing you want is to spend your hard-earned money on books or DVDs that falsely claim to be some sort of breakthrough method for losing weight.

There are plenty of products out there that prey on people’s desire to get “instant results” without any effort. Hopefully, you already know that there is no such thing as a miracle cure. With that fact being understood, there is a way to jumpstart your metabolism and experience significant health benefits at the same time: green – tea. You may have heard about the benefits of green – tea already, or you may be entirely unfamiliar with them.

Weight loss is really all about how much energy you are using versus what you are consuming (best expressed with the popular “calories in versus calories out” expression). When you break it down this way, it sounds deceptively simple, but it really can be a challenge to lose weight. Green – tea extract pills induce a higher metabolic rate in you; the official term for this is “thermogenesis.”

Thermogenesis and Antioxidants

In a nutshell, thermogenesis is the production of heat in the body. Everybody converts the food they eat into energy, and in that process, heat is produced. Sometimes, the body needs more energy than you are taking in, and it finds this energy in your stores of fat. As you can tell, exercising enough and eating right are still necessary if you want to be at your ideal weight, but a metabolism boost might be all you need to start shedding pounds and building muscle.

Green – tea helps you accomplish thermogenesis through caffeine. When your body is stimulated, it will start burning up more energy. If you’ve ever looked up the ingredients on any diet pill, you have probably noticed caffeine on the list for this reason. Caffeine is a natural ingredient in green – tea, and you can enjoy a higher metabolic rate and an increase in fat burning just by regularly taking a green – tea extract pill. At the same time, the increase in energy can make it easier for you to hit the gym or go for a jog.

That’s not all that green – tea offers, however. While turning up your body’s metabolic rate can help you shed pounds and feel more energetic, green – tea also is a very powerful antioxidant, cleansing your body of toxins and making you healthier overall. Catechins are compounds found naturally in green – tea, and they serve as both antioxidants and metabolites. From them, you can potentially enjoy a lower risk of chronic diseases (including a lower prevalence of carcinogenesis, which is what causes cancer), antibiotic properties, and even reduced signs of aging.

Other Benefits of Green – Tea

While the inducement of thermogenesis and the presence of catechins are green – tea’s biggest draws, there are still more benefits that have been demonstrated. Green ; tea has inhibited two enzymes: one, called amylase, breaks down carbohydrate into sugar, and so slowing the enzyme down keeps you from feeling hungry as quickly after you’ve eaten (an effective way to avoid cravings). The second, called fatty acid synthase is part of the process of converting carbohydrate into fat.

Naturally, inhibiting these two enzymes can result in dramatic weight loss, because you are less likely to overeat and less likely to put on fat. If you want to lose weight and be healthier, green ‘ tea extract supplements such as NOW Green – Tea Extract and PrimaForce Lean Green are excellent tools that can help you with your health goals.

Weight Loss Aids – The Benefits of Green Tea

Monday Feb 15, 2010

With all the different products on the market it can be rather difficult to determine what is going to really be effective and what has just empty claims of success. The truth is that different things work for different people. Some people can lose weight effectively with simple changes to what they eat and drink, in combination with exercise. Most people have found that there are certain things that will help provide a little push in their weight loss efforts. One of these things is green tea.

You’ve heard all the hype about its benefits, and now you are wondering if green tea and weight loss can really go together. There are some true benefits that have been known for many years, but green tea and weight loss have only been linked together in the last few years.

Some benefits come about because of its natural ingredients. Because of the natural composition of this tea, there are a ton of health benefits. Green tea helps weight loss, but there is so much more. It can also help with other health problems, like diabetes and cancer. There are also studies that have shown that these same benefits can also apply to people with heart problems.

The benefits are available in several forms and the most common is in drinks. Lipton makes a carbonated and raspberry flavored variations of this type of drink. Most people that have had success with some weight loss have relied on changing from their regular carbonated pepsi drinks to this form.

Green tea and weight loss can also be linked through herbal supplements in the form of extracts and capsules, as capsules are easy to swallow. These can be taken following a regimen of two to three times a day. Green tea extracts can be added to your favorite juices or even your dietary supplement shakes. The concentrated form gives you the largest benefits by far.

Green tea and weight loss may be a new concept, but the benefits have been a secret treatment for so many other ailment for many generations. The Chinese would drink this tea in a warm brew, adding honey or other natural sweeteners. You can’t help but wonder if this was how Chinese people were able to maintain their health and physique.

The main benefits of green tea come from the antioxidants within each little leaf. Antioxidants have the ability to help cellular repair from the damage that free radicals cause. When the body does not have a large enough supply of antioxidants the free radicals run rampant and can lead to issues like cancer and cardiovascular disease. Recent research has also shown that antioxidants can help maintain bone strength and prevent bone issues like osteoporosis.

Green Tea Weight Loss – A Quick Simple Way to Shed the Pounds

Sunday Jan 31, 2010

Green tea has been grown for centuries in China and becoming more well known in the West for its many health benefits. The beverage is rich in antioxidants which can help to fight disease, assist with the digestive process and help rid our bodies of harmful toxins. Green tea weight loss is another topic popular in the media these days.

There are several important benefits that green tea offers that can assist with weight loss. One of the main benefits is that the catechins which are contained in the tea leaf helps to raise your metabolism rate, which in turn helps your body to burn calories and fat more efficiently. ECGC, which is another antioxidant found in this tea, also helps to burn fat.

Another way that this fantastic tea can assist in losing weight is through helping your body regulate its blood sugar or glucose level and inhibiting fat absorption. When your blood sugar level gets too high, your body stores the excess sugar as fat instead of burning it off in the form of energy. This can lead to gaining weight. The catechins in the tea help with regulating your blood sugar level which will also help with burning excess sugars rather than storing them.

Appetite suppressant is another potential benefit to consuming green tea. First of all, tea has very few calories and is quite filling. In addition, by maintaining your blood sugar level you will be less likely to have food cravings which cause us to overeat.
