Green Tea Weight Loss Review

Saturday Oct 31, 2009

Are green tea weight loss pills the next big diet trend? In this green tea weight loss review, we will examine the benefits of green tea, as well as the reason it has become so popular in the weight loss industry.

Uses of green tea are still being explored by medical science in research that may take many years. The antioxidant properties (and a host of others) of green tea are becoming well known around the world, especially in the diet and health markets. Green tea weight loss extract can be purchased easily in liquid and pill form, but whichever way it is taken, you will burn calories naturally.

It has a wide range of benefits for the human metabolism but first and foremost, it has great anti-aging properties, accelerating cell regeneration and slowing the oxidation process in the system. While this is an added benefit, the green tea weight loss products rely on its ability to work as a natural laxative, and use it as a method of purging toxins from the system.

Our bodies lose more calories as a result of ingesting green tea, because it speeds up the metabolism, thereby reducing the amount of fatty tissue which would normally form. The most popular form of green tea for weight loss is called Oolong tea. This is a mildly caffeinated tea, but should not affect sleep patterns.

The wonders of green tea weight loss health products will not work alone and require the commitment of the user to exercise and eat healthily. It is important to remember that weight loss also requires a person to completely change their eating habits otherwise just consuming the product will be a waste of time.

If you use green tea as a drink, the optimal time to drink it is just before going to sleep for the night. It is quite normal for most people to experience mild stomach and bowel discomfort during the first few days after using green tea, but this should not persist. This is quite a normal side effect, because the green tea is improving the body’s metabolism, while removing harmful toxins before they do any damage. It doesn’t take long to see the results if you follow your diet correctly; i.e. increasing your liquid intake, regular exercise and eating fruit and vegetables. Once can expect to start seeing results within the first week.

Extract from the ginseng root are often mixed with green tea as the two ingredients, when combined have proven to be more effective. The ginseng extract also adds beneficial vitamins to the green tea weight loss products, and have been used in China for many years.

Getting back to a normal weight can be stressful but the addition of ginseng to the green tea helps provide extra energy and fortification by assisting the body’s own immune system. Natural products like green tea and ginseng are safe to use even on programs lasting up to 26 weeks at a time.

Green tea has so many health benefits, and is an easy way to increase your health while losing excess weight. It is no surprise that more and more people are adding it to their daily health routine.

Successful Weight Loss for a Healthy Body and a Healthy Mind

Saturday Oct 31, 2009

“Passion helps us to progress; it keeps us going despite the invariable obstacles. Every great achievement began with someone’s passion, and was carried forward by that momentum” – Lissa Coffey

Passion for life, your quality of life

I believe that when you decided to manage your weight permanently, you were moved by a passion. It is your passion for life, for health and a better quality of life.
I believe your great achievement will be to regain your natural weight.
Please do not lose this momentum.

With your commitment, your passion and daily motivation, you are unstoppable.
Don’t let your doubts sabotage this journey’s success.

Losing weight is not about dieting.
Dieting could be what keeps the extra weight on your body.
The words “diet”, “dieting” have a negative connotation.
There is no need for sacrifice, no need for negative thoughts.

Proper Mindset

We need a change of attitude. We need to focus on the results we want to achieve.
Losing weight is about healthy nutrition and healthy life style.
This is not a slogan. This is a way of life; your quality of life.

You do not want your weight to yo-yo all your life.
You want a steady weight loss and you want to maintain a healthy weight.

Needed Changes

We need a few life changes such as
Positive attitude, positive mindset and everyday motivation knowing what you want and going for it, always focusing on the desired result Plan your new lifestyle; plan your meals, schedule motivation time and exercise time. healthy eating habits and Exercise everyday.

Enjoy the journey

You want to enjoy the weight loss as well as your weight management.
It is easier to achieve what we enjoy.

We should enjoy our food three times

We first enjoyed our food when we taste it; it is a feast for our taste buds.
Then we enjoy it because it satisfies our appetite.
Then if the food is digested properly our body enjoys the nutrients, Mother Nature goodness. It nourishes our body.

Healthy Nutrition

Healthy nutrition is a nutrition that feed our body; a nutrition rich in nutrients that will feed each cell of our body.
If our nutrition meets our body daily nutrient needs, and we have a good digestion, there will be no cravings.

If there is less or no craving, we will not be tempted to eat too much.
If we enjoy our food, we will not be tempted to eat food that sabotages our weight management.

Digestion

The best food, the richest nutrients food will be worthless if we cannot digest it properly. The healthiest food in the world will not be a great help if we cannot digest and absorb its nutrients.

The better the digestion, the more benefits we get from our nutrition.
The more fibers we eat, the easier our digestion, because the fibers push the food downward. The faster the food is digested the faster we benefit from its nutrients, if it is absorbed properly.

Enjoy your food

Food should be enjoyed. If you enjoy your food you feed both your body and your soul. You are really satisfied.

Did you notice how easy we digest a meal when we are in good company?
It must be the laughter, or this feeling of well being.
It is a great synergy: we enjoy the food, we enjoy the company; we enjoy ourselves. Our body chemistry is at his best; it releases all the hormones that give us this feeling of well being.

Atkins Advantage Bars

Saturday Oct 31, 2009

The Atkins Diet is lively and well gain than ever with these newly reformulated Atkins advantage bars. A wonderful treat that easily fits into your busy low carb daily life and crammed a lot of vitamins, minerals and protein to help get you through your day.

There are several people who don’t recognize Atkins even though it’s been around for a long period of time. There are changes in several ways, but the ground rules still the same. However, since Dr. Atkins has died, he obviously can no longer administer what he started, and that was lead to several changes that might not be for the best. I’m not sure who manage that company now, and they are not doing good as well that happened to some thing changes that are not good for the dieters to use this program and bars is one of the example.

Many are trying the Atkins Advantage bars to see if can make a difference to those that are somewhat new. These are happened to those who are not following the method, but it doesn’t mean that they do not have an advantage for someone else. However, they are not full of carbs so they don’t have be an instant energy increase in a way to stay full for a few hours. This seems to be not accepted to those who live the way of life.

I’m not saying that the bars are not useful however but those who are in the induction phase of Atkins should probably skip these. I’ve hear that they are great and the carb count is in line with what this diet is, and what it can do. However, for many, this is not something that should be avoided when they begin the program. In the Induction Phase Atkins bars have caused many trying to get through that phase to stall out and they don’t know why. They are great for those who have gone during induction and must of the ongoing weight loss portion of the program. And great also to those who are almost complete with weight loss and moving into maintaining their weight. Because Dr. Atkins is no longer managing the company, several people don’t have much trust in the name. These bars are good, but not good for the first two weeks of the program it’s because the number of carbs in the first 20 weeks everyday might easily place someone over with the wrong type of carbs. However, most people don’t know this, and they are eating them early on their diet. This is stopping their weight loss, and that leads them to believe that this way of eating does not work when it in fact can be useful.

The bar is loaded with essential vita-nutrients. Additionally, this bar is packed of protein and essential fatty acids. This will be good in the diet however; this might be a very practical thing to have around. To those who are ongoing through their weight loss, make sure that you know the ingredients are okay with their particular to pace up the carb ladder. And for those who leave induction and proceed to ongoing weight loss, usually they tend to add small amount of carbs specifically. To those who want to add the Atkins Advantage bars make sure these are inline with where they are adding back some carbs.

They will provide as a great snack if you like the taste that will keep anyone from feeling hungry all day long. And these might be a little useful to have when going away or simply going to work. On the other hand, those who have following Atkins doesn’t feel those sharp hunger pains very frequently, but it is nice to reach the time to eat and it’s just not possible to have a meal as needed. If they are not following Atkins, these might lead to more calories than someone wants to have, but if they fill the person up, they might be saving calories in the end.

If you are want this way of life, and finding that you have problems, remember that it is just one food that causes the weight loss stall that might something as innocent as the bars. Although it is very easy diet and way of eating for many, there are times that when small things get into big problem for some. There is no reason to stop eating the Atkins bars if you have no problems on this to do so. And if you are on the Atkins Diet, then you will definitely want to stock up on the Atkins Advantage bars for a quick meal on the go or low carb snack as part of your healthy low carb lifestyle.

A Healthy Diet Weight Loss Plan

Saturday Oct 31, 2009

Are you looking for a healthy diet weight loss plan? Are you tired of all the fad diets that starve you to death, only for you to put on all the weight and more the minute you don’t follow the diet.

You are not alone. Millions of people every year discover that there are no shortcuts to weight loss. The best weight loss is achieved through a healthy diet weight loss plan. I am going to show you how you can lose weight naturally.

Before I start, I have to warn you… you will need to be disciplined and you will need to be patient.

Exercise

Healthy weight loss means that you lose fat without losing a lot of muscle. When you go on one of these silly fad diets, you can lose a lot of weight, but a lot of that weight is from muscle. That is a big no no. When you lose muscle, your body’s metabolic rate drops and the body is no longer very efficient at burning fat.

This means that you do not want to lose much muscle. How do you achieve this? That’s an easy question. You have to incorporate a weight lifting routine into your weight loss plan.

Hold on… I am not suggesting that you need to look like a body builder, but if you want to go on a healthy diet weight loss plan you will have to lift weights. If that is too much to ask, then I am afraid you might have to go back to your fad diets. I am only trying to help here.

Gyms are expensive, but you don’t necessarily need to join one. You can buy few dumbbells and a barbell for less than a hundred dollars. That’s all you need to get started.

It is also a good idea to engage in cardio-vascular exercise such as swimming, jogging or power walking. You can do the last two without joining a gym.

Diet

There are good foods and there are bad foods. For this diet plan, you will have to substantially reduce the amount of bad foods you eat, and substantially increase the amount of good foods you eat.

Bad Foods

Anything that is deep-fried.
Cakes
Biscuits
Crisps
Chocolate
Donuts
White Bread
Most processed cereals
Processed food in general

Good Foods

Vegetables and Salad
Fruit
Chicken
Fish
Egg whites
Tuna
Porridge
Sweet Potatoes
Potatoes (without fillings)
Brown rice

Try and avoid anything on the first list, but try to eat lots of the foods on the second list. You want to get a good mix of carbohydrates and proteins so that you have a balanced diet.

For best results, I suggest six small meals a day, every two to four hours. You will also want to take lots of water – between 8 and 10 glasses daily.

Do me a favor and try the above plan for eight weeks. I have deliberately kept it simple, so that it is easy to stick to. I promise that you will be pleasantly shocked by the results.

Natural Weight Loss Tips to Burn Fat Fast

Friday Oct 30, 2009

So you want to lose weight or burn fat fast and naturally? I don’t know what others have told you, but I can say this much that by following proper techniques and strategies, it is not that hard to shed that extra flab! Most experts would suggest you to diet; however I know that you hate dieting because it comes with too many restrictions.

And you would be happy to know that there are other weight loss methods out there which work much better than dieting. In this article I will tell you about those methods:

1. Dieting doesn’t work: While I know that you hate diets, I thought it would be prudent to point out the disadvantages of dieting as well. See, dieting sounds good on the surface, and in fact, if you go without food for several days, you might also lose some fat from your thighs and belly! But make no mistake about it-you will gain back all of that weight as quickly as you have lost it!

As a matter of fact, human body is designed to fight against any form of starvation. In good old days, when there was lack of food supply, the body would store fat deposits in order to survive. Nowadays, we have more than enough to eat, but just as some things don’t change, our bodies too haven’t changed much over the course of centuries!

The rule still remains the same: if you starve, your body will think that there is a famine out there which is why it is not getting enough fuel in the form of calories. It would then take the obvious step: it would slow down your metabolic rate so as to store fat instead of burning it! This is the reason why most dieters tend to regain their former self as soon as they get back to the normal eating mode!

If someone told you that you have gained weight because of eating, let me tell you the reverse: you will put on weight if you DON’T eat!

2. Eating frequently is the key to success: Simply ‘eating’ is not enough for quick weight loss; you must also make sure that you are eating frequently as well! No, I am not asking you eat more than your normal diet, or eat even when you are not hungry. I am asking you to break down your large meals into smaller meals.

If you are like anyone else, you probably have around three large meals a day. That is not conducive to quick weight loss! Instead, you should break those three large meals into six smaller meals and eat each small meal every two or three hours.

This has dual advantages. First, when your body gets frequent food supply, it keeps your metabolic rate high, which means that you will burn fat fast. Second, frequent eating helps you suppress hunger, so that you don’t feel tempted to gorge on the junk foods available from your local restaurant, no matter how delicious they are! As you can see, frequent eating is a win-win for overweight people!

Weight Loss Through Eating Negative Calorie Foods

Friday Oct 30, 2009

Negative calorie foods are foods, which use more calories to digest than the calories the foods actually contain! Calories from these foods are much harder for the body to breakdown and process. In other words, the body has to work harder in order to extract calories from these foods. This gives these foods a tremendous natural fat-burning advantage.

Negative calorie foods contain sufficient vitamins & minerals to break down the host calories resulting in a surplus of enzyme producing biochemicals. This simply means that once ingested these “negative calories” foods provide for enzyme production in quantities sufficient to break down not only its own host calories, but possibly additional calories present in digestion as well.

A recent study found that a vegetarian diet consisting mostly of fruits and vegetables, was adhered to by research subjects as an experimental study on the reversal of heart disease. As a result, each of the research subjects lost an average of 20 pounds without cutting calories or limiting serving sizes. In light of the fact that these subjects were 40 years and older (with relatively slowed metabolisms) and the research performed involved no prescribed exercise program, this constitutes a dramatic weight loss that could only be attributed to the consumption of various fruits & vegetables.

Let’s assume the transport of these “surplus digestive enzymes” into the blood is a given and pick it up from there. The fact is, enzymes are responsible for the acceleration of ALL chemical reactions in the body. The acceleration of chemical reactions in the body then equates to a faster metabolism.

The greater value then, in identifying and ingesting these negative calorie foods is not in their ability to break down other existing calories in digestion at all. The true potential benefits lie in the increased enzymes produced being absorbed through the mucosa in the small intestine thus entering into the bloodstream where they can positively effect the rate of metabolism.

To optimize this metabolic acceleration, these researched & identified negative calories should preferably be ingested in the absence of additional enzyme robbing “empty calories” (junk food). This would insure that an optimum amount of enzymes are produced for absorption into the bloodstream and not wasted during digestive processes on assimilating calories from foods with poor vitamin and nutrient content.

Some foods with these negative calorie characteristics include:

Asparagus, beets, broccoli, cabbage (green), carrots, cauliflower, celery, chicory, chili peppers, cucumbers, endive, garlic, lettuce, onions, papayas, spinach, turnip, zucchini, apples, cranberries, grapefruit, lemons, mangos, oranges, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries and tangerines.

Atkins Diet Plan Revealed

Thursday Oct 29, 2009

The Atkins diet plan is famous worldwide for the way it has helped countless thousands of everyday people to easily and permanently lose weight. That is does so in such an unusual manner is what has really helped to make the Atkins diet plan so well known.

In this article we’re going to take a look at the Atkins diet so you can gain a better understanding of what it entails and therefore whether it’s a suitable means of losing weight for you.

The Atkins diet is broken down into a number of different “steps” though they can be summarized quite successfully as follows. The initial phase of the Atkins diet cuts out just about every source of carbohydrates in your diet. You will cut out pasta, bread, fruit, many vegetables, rice and so on. In fact, you’ll be sorely limited on the foods you are allowed to eat. Meat, dairy and certain vegetables will be your limit.

This introductory phase will help put your body into a catabolic phase whereby the body, being given virtually no carb source to use as fuel for the body’s everyday activities is forced to burn up the fat stored in the body, so helping you to burn that fat and lose weight.

This initial phase can be quite a shock to the system – but that is how it’s meant to be. To go from hundreds of calories every day down to nothing can leave you feeling tired, grumpy, unhappy, even sick. The process can also lead to bad breath, headaches and loose stools so it is not without it’s risks.

However users of the Atkins diet plan swear by it’s results and having tested it myself last year I did indeed find considerable weight loss over this initial period, though it is only fair to mention that a considerable amount of this was likely water loss as much as fat loss.

Typically this initial phase of the Atkins diet will take place over 7-14 days though you may, if you wish, carry it on for longer.

Once you are in this fat burning zone it is time to move onto the next phase which sees you starting to reintroduce carb sources into your diet slowly and so the diet becomes a little more interesting at this point. By now I was desperate for some fruit having not had any for a few weeks and I was growing tired of all the rich, dairy foods so this next phase made a welcome change for me, though it is also likely that you will see your weight loss drop off a little bit with these new carb sources.

Lastly you end up on a maintenance phase which whilst offering you even more food choices still limits your carb intake.

Some people claim the Atkins diet plan is unhealthy due to the high fat diet that it leads to, though others dismiss this. Some people also find the incredible limits on what you can eat a bore while others thrive on bacon and eggs, steaks and cauliflower cheese.

The only way to really tell is give the diet a try yourself. Just be aware that the first 2-3 days can be tough, so it is suggested that you try them when you don’t have anything major planned. Start on a weekend or a vacation where you are under less pressure and a headache is unlikely to be a deal breaker. And may I wish you the best of luck!

Thursday Oct 29, 2009

Maximum fat loss is something that everyone who wants to lose fat is looking for.

Getting great results in a short amount of time feels great because once you see yourself losing fat and becoming thinner you will start to feel great about the whole process.

This article will show you how to lose maximum fat safely and effectively.

What is a safe amount of fat to lose?

Maximum fat loss can be expected with losing 1-3 lbs of fat per week. You might say “that’s it”? Before you to order the next miracle infomercial product, stay with me here. If you want maximum FAT LOSS, 1-3lbs a week is a safe number for your body to lose. If you want maximum WEIGHT LOSS, then you can lose 10lbs in 1 week, but it will consist of water weight, muscle mass, and if you are lucky, maybe a little bit of fat.

This article is about helping you lose fat, not about helping you lose weight. If you lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time, expect it to come back on very fast and put you back even further than when you started!

This article is going to give you 2 awesome tips for maximum fat loss.

MAXIMUM FAT LOSS TIP #1: You need to increase your metabolism.

Increasing your metabolism for maximum fat loss can be accomplished through a specific style of exercise.

You will want to use resistance training and interval training for maximum fat loss with exercise.

Resistance training is great for maximum fat loss because when performed correctly, it will add lean muscle mass. Adding lean muscle mass increases your active and resting metabolism, and helps you with maximum fat loss by burning calories long after your workout session is done.

Interval training is great for maximum fat loss because it is a faster and more effective way of doing cardiovascular exercise. With interval training, you switch back and forth between high and low intensity.

For example, you might go 2 minutes slow and then 1 minute fast on a recumbent bike. You would repeat this cycle 3-6 times, and you have a great cardio workout for maximum fat loss!

The key to making interval training work is by really pushing yourself during those intense minutes. This hard work will help to burn calories and maximum fat for hours after you are done!

MAXIMUM FAT LOSS TIP #2: Make great food choices.

Instead of going to maximum fat loss by crash dieting, using some fad diet, or anything else of the sort, it is important that you understand what good food choices are for maximum fat loss.

You want to eat high quality protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats in small portion for 4-6 meals per day. This helps with maximum fat loss because it will help you keep your blood sugar regulated and will keep you from being too hungry.

If you try doing this, you will see that you can cheat every once in awhile and still achieve maximum fat loss!

Just be sure to avoid high glycemic “bad carbs” as much as possible. They are the enemy of maximum fat loss! These bad carbs will raise your blood sugar and will make your body release more insulin to store the excess as fat.

In conclusion, you can see that maximum fat loss is a synergistic effort involving the right type of exercise and the right type of diet.

Good luck =)

Why Do You Really Want Weight Loss Surgery?

Wednesday Oct 28, 2009

Because weight loss surgery (WLS) is a life changing action it is important to understand why you are heading down this path. WLS is not an end all to your weight problems. In fact patients have been unsuccessful in reaching target weight loss or returned to their former weight after WLS.

It is important to understand that this procedure is just a tool to help you regain control over your life and your health. You will still need to change your eating habits for life. You will still need to change your exercise habits for life. WLS will not by itself change your self esteem, popularity, physical attractiveness, or other issues you may currently have as a result of your obesity.

Frequently your weight is only a symptom of other issues you will need to deal with in these areas.

WLS can help improve your overall health. Long term weight loss of 10% or less can result in a decrease in blood pressure, improve cholesterol levels, and help control blood sugar. In addition you may see improvements in sleep apnea, a lessening of pain in weight bearing joints like knees and ankles, and a general increase in your ability to breath.

Additional weight loss may also result in a decrease in heartburn and gastrointestinal discomfort. Many WLS patients have also reported decreased reliance, and sometimes total elimination of, the need for diabetes and blood pressure medications.
